This is lovely - thanks. I have made about 15 bottles of this since you first posted it. Yummy!
I don't add the apple juice at all - it would be far too runny if I did that - either apples or just a tin of apples. |

| I now use my own apples that I have preserved myself and the sauce itself really is nice full of flavor not the heat unless you want it that way all my friends and neighbors have now made this sauce so the recipe is spreading |

| Yes you can use fresh apples no problem (I usually do in my preserves) and you can make it as hot as you like, I guess, by adding or subtracting chillis. I am not a fan of hot so I use half green half red chillis and no seeds at all. |

Thanks for that. my recipe for sweet chilli sauce has 100 gr of chilli and half the sugar and vinegar that this recipe has so I will use a lot more chilli and fresh apples. I do like the 1 that I usually make but I am looking for a different texture hopefully this will work

| The texture of this is like a thick cream and if you use all the seeds you will have the heat and yes I do use fresh apples when I can if so don't add any juice |

So I saw that red capsicums were on special at Woolies this week - cheaper than green! and I made up your recipe of the sauce - tho I made 1/6th of it to try first before committing to 15 bottles worth I also left out the apple juice, as it was just the right consistency without the juice.
and it worked out fantastically! I also happened to have just finished my Aldi sweet chili sauce and had washed out the bottle, so I put it right back in to that bottle!
I can't get over how easy it was, and how great and authentic it tastes... without any NUMBER ingredients like the shop bought version!
thanks for sharing! |

| I have finally got around to making this and have found it far too sweet so next time will be very careful with the amount of sugar that I put in apart from that this is a gr8 recipe I did use a lot more chilli also as i like my sauce with kick and i used all the seeds I think for my tastes it need about 300 grams less sugar |
