This culture produces a lovely thick and creamy yoghurt, with medium acidity. It consists of specifically selected strains of a mild acidifying Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus and a low content of fast acidifying
Streptococcus thermophilus.
(Our culture contains NO Bifidus, and is therefore OK for the SCD diet.)
Making you own yoghurt with this culture is very simple, and very economical as the culture is highly concentrated, and each
sachet will make 80 to 100 one litre batches of yoghurt.
Each sachet is supplied with two sterile jars to keep your culture safely in the freezer, and allow you to
easily pick up just a small amount on the end of a knife.

This is a really thick, smooth textured yoghurt with a more acidic flavour.
1 container used for 200 doses suitable for 1 litre of milk each.
This yoghurt is an absolute winner if you like a tangy, more acidic yoghurt !!
The extra tang makes this an ideal yoghurt for cooking, where you want the flavour of the yoghurt to come through.
What more can I say, other that this has just become David's new personal favourite ... WOW !
The longer you leave this yoghurt incubating, before refrigeration, the more acidic it will be ... don't forget it and leave it too long ... LOL.

ABC 1 - Pro biotic Dairy CultureUsed in addition to the Yoghurt, or other Cultures, and will NOT make yoghurt if used on its own.
(top of page)
Specification Sheet GMO & Allergen Statements.
Unfortunately, many things in day to day life can upset our normal digestive system, and
this is when pro biotic products are recommended.
Lyofast ABC 1 contains Lactobacillus Acidophilus (lactic acid bacteria) and Bifidobacterium.
These micro-organisms are found in large numbers in the normal healthy intestine.
|
Lyofast ABC 1 is a culture that can be added to make pro biotic products such as fermented milk
products, including yogurt and soft cheeses. Sprinkle the culture powder directly into
your milk at the same time as you add your Yoghurt Starter Culture ensuring that the culture is well dispersed by gentle stirring.
Making you own yoghurt into a pro biotic yoghurt with this is very economical as the ABC1 culture
is highly concentrated, and each
sachet
will make up to 200, 1 litre batches.
Each sachet is supplied with two sterile jars to keep your culture safely in the freezer, and allow you to
easily pick up just a small amount on the end of a knife.

"Mini" Measuring Spoons #1095 |
To measure the yoghurt culture with the mini measuring spoons, place all of the culture in one jar, and spoon it across to the other jar ... try the Smidgen. Count the number of spoons, and divide that into 100 ... If, for example you get 10 Smidgens, spoon one Smidgen back into the now empty jar, this becomes your 'working stock' and you should get about 10 batches of yoghurt out of that jar.

Hi,
Just wanted to say thank you. My family think that my home made yoghurt is the best yoghurt they've ever tasted and I can't believe how easy it is. It's always successful.
I'm so chuffed!

Dear David,
Thanks - I received everything promptly and in excellent order. I've made my first batch of greek-style yoghurt and it's delicious. I found the directions clear and straightforward and felt confident making it.
I'm eyeing off the feta making kit - I think that will be my next step.
Thanks again,
Iona ... January, 2011
Hello Valerie
I have been making my own yogurt for a couple of years and was buying the culture from Canada as I am on the SCD diet and needed specific cultures. I am now using your culture and it is so good to buy from a reliable source in Australia, where delivery is the next day. On top of that, your culture makes the best yogurt ever! It is an absolute delight to eat and I look forward to it every day!
Regards.
