pH Test Strip - Duotest - 5 metre roll

Suitable for testing pH from 3.5 to 6.8

pH test strips are used for testing the acidity of your inoculated milk and/or preserves.

When making some cheeses such as Cultured Mozzarella and Provolone, the timing for adding the rennet is dependant on the acidity of the milk and culture mix in your pot.

Directions:

Take a small sample of what you wish to test and apply the test strip. Do not consume, dispose of this sample.

Use as little as 1 cm at a time:

Simply cut a small piece of the test strip, and touch to some inoculated milk in a spoon. The strip started "green & yellow" and very quickly changed to "dark pink & blue", indicating a pH of 6.8 or even higher.
