Propionic culture produces the characteristic eyes (holes), aroma and flavour associated with Swiss, Gruyere and Emmenthal. This culture is to be used with a Thermophilic culture for preparing Swiss-type cheeses.

Direct Inoculation Starter Culture. 

Suitable for 100 L milk.

Each sachet is very concentrated and comes with two free sterile jars.

We ship these products Australia wide, however, they do require long term storage in a freezer, on arrival. Extended time out of a freezer will decrease the shelf life.
